The Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, arrived in the U.S. capital, Washington, on Monday for an official visit.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), "The visit comes to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and to discuss issues of mutual interest."
This is the first official visit of a Saudi official after the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense, via its account on the "X" platform, stated that the Defense Minister traveled to Washington "to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and to discuss matters of mutual interest."
The visit follows recent discussions hosted by Saudi Arabia with officials from both the United States and Russia about the war in Ukraine and restoring broader relations between Moscow and Washington.
