This came during a joint press conference held by the two presidents at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo.

During the conference, Macron emphasized his rejection of the forced displacement of Gaza's residents.

Sisi stated, "We emphasized the need to immediately return to a ceasefire, allow urgent humanitarian aid into Gaza, and release the hostages."

He added, "We also agreed on rejecting any calls for the displacement of Palestinians from their land. I discussed with President Macron the Arab plan for Gaza's recovery and reconstruction, and we agreed to coordinate our efforts for the Gaza reconstruction conference, which Egypt plans to host once hostilities in the region cease."

French President Macron arrived in Egypt on Sunday for a three-day visit, which includes a trip to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, located about 50 kilometers from Gaza, which serves as a hub for gathering humanitarian aid for the region.

Macron called for the resumption of the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all detainees.

He also expressed concerns over Iran's nuclear program and reaffirmed his support for Lebanon's sovereignty and stability.

From Cairo, the French president emphasized his commitment to Egypt’s stability amid an increasingly uncertain environment, and highlighted ongoing support for discussions between Egypt, the International Monetary Fund, and the European Commission to assist Egypt's economy.
