The Somali Civil Aviation Authority confirmed a plane crash that occurred about 24 kilometers southwest of Mogadishu late Saturday night.
According to "Somalia New" news site, the authority reported that five people were on board the plane and tragically lost their lives. The aircraft had taken off from the Somali city of "Doble," near the Kenyan border, heading towards Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.

The plane was operated by "Trident Aviation Limited." Government authorities, along with their partners, immediately reached the crash site for search and rescue operations.
