Special Meeting at the UN Security Council on Iran

The United Nations Security Council will hold a special session today, Wednesday, focusing on Iran, particularly its nuclear file.

It is expected that the Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific, Mohamed Khaled Al-Khayari, will provide a briefing to the members.

It is worth noting that special sessions are closed to the public, differing from public consultation meetings, as special meetings are considered official gatherings of the Security Council, allowing member states, non-members, and officials to participate.
