The United Nations Security Council will hold a session today, Tuesday, to discuss the political and humanitarian situation in Syria, chaired by Denmark's Foreign Minister, Lars Rasmussen.
During the session, members will hear briefings from the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, and the Head of the Humanitarian Affairs Department, Tom Fletcher.
In addition to the Council members, ambassadors from Syria, Iran, Qatar, Turkey, and Jordan will participate, with Jordan delivering a statement on behalf of the Arab Group at the United Nations. (Petra)
