In an interview with Laura Ingraham, the host of a program on Fox News, Trump proudly showed the red button, saying, "Everyone thinks this is the nuclear button, they say if you press it, it will be the end of the world." He added with a smile, "It's right here."
The Diet Coke button was one of the first things Trump brought back to the Oval Office during his second term in office. The red button, which is housed inside a wooden box, is simply used to call a servant to deliver his favorite soft drink.
The button was discarded after President Joe Biden's inauguration in 2021, but it made a return to the Oval Office when Trump returned to office.
These elements are part of the traditions of the Oval Office, where a team of staff quickly rearranges and organizes the office according to the new president's preferences, including decor, paintings, and carpets, to match the new president's style.
