Whitticoff: Agreement with Iran Depends on Uranium Enrichment Details
The White House Special Envoy, Steve Whitticoff, stated that any diplomatic agreement with Iran would depend on the specifics of verifying the country's uranium enrichment and nuclear weapons programs.اضافة اعلان

In an interview with Fox News on Monday, Whitticoff said:
"It will primarily be about verifying the enrichment program, and ultimately verifying weapons development. This includes missiles, and the types of missiles they have stored there," according to Reuters.

Last Saturday, Iran and the United States held indirect talks in Oman and agreed to resume discussions next week. The talks aim to reach an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

Both Tehran and Washington described the talks in Oman as "positive" and "constructive", and they agreed to resume them this week.

Whitticoff headed the U.S. delegation during the talks with Iran in the Omani capital, Muscat, alongside Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The U.S. aims to halt Tehran's sensitive uranium enrichment activities, which it, along with Israel and European powers, considers a pathway to nuclear weapons development. Iran asserts that its nuclear program is solely for civilian purposes.

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he "will solve the Iranian problem, as it's easy to solve", urging Tehran to abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons or "face a harsh response", and did not rule out "bombing its nuclear sites" if the negotiations fail.
