Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Monday that discussions with the United States in Saudi Arabia will focus on security guarantees.

Following his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, Zelensky stated that Ukraine's position in Tuesday’s talks with U.S. officials would be fully constructive.

"Our Ukrainian team will remain in Jeddah to work with the U.S. team today, and we hope to achieve practical results," Zelensky told reporters.

He also discussed with the Saudi Crown Prince the necessary steps and conditions to end the war and ensure lasting and reliable peace.

"I expressed my gratitude for his wise international perspective and support for Ukraine in an outstanding meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia," Zelensky said.

Earlier on Monday, Prince Mohammed bin Salman held an official meeting with Zelensky to discuss the latest developments in the Ukraine crisis.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Crown Prince reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis and achieving peace.

The meeting in Jeddah comes a day before crucial talks between Ukrainian and U.S. officials, which Washington hopes will mark significant progress toward ending the Russia-Ukraine war.اضافة اعلان
