AMMAN – The budget
deficit of 2020 reached 106 percent, standing at JD2.182 billion, up from
JD1.058 billion last year, data from the Finance Ministry’s closing statement
showed.

Data indicates that
public revenues were down by 9.3 percent in last year, recording JD7.029
billion.
Meanwhile, foreign
grants to Jordan increased by 0.3 percent in 2020 to JD791 million, while
public expenditure rose by 4.5 percent to JD9.211 billion, according to the
2020 statement.
