AMMAN — The value of exports of
Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) decreased by 11.4 percent in 2021, compared with
2020, ACC figures showed on Saturday.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the
value of certificates of origin issued by the ACC in 2021 to export goods
totaled JD740 million compared with JD836 million in 2020, according to ACC’s
statistical data.
Moreover, the number of certificates of origin
issued by the ACC in 2021 amounted to 35,881, compared to 30,640 during 2020,
an increase of 17 percent, the chamber said.
The ACC’s certificates of origin in 2021 went out to
various countries, most notably to shipments to Saudi Arabia with 9,384
shipments, followed by the UAE with 4,933, then Oman with 2,332, Iraq with
1,504, and Egypt with 1,135, the ACC noted.
The ACC’s exports
to Iraq which accounted for about JD206 million, Saudi Arabia to JD73 million,
Egypt at JD70 million, the UAE to JD57 million, then Oman to JD48 million, the
chamber announced.
Re-exported foreign products amounted to JD373 million,
according to the chamber, while agricultural and industrial exports stood at
JD152 million and JD138 million, respectively. Arab product exports stood at
about JD35 million.
