AMMAN — The value of certificates of
origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in the first eight months
of 2022 to export goods stood at JD584 million, compared with JD477 million in
the same period of 2021, ACC figures showed on Sunday.

The number of certificates of origin issued during
the January–August period of this year was 23,465, compared with 25,210 for the
same period last year.
The ACC noted that a total of 5,957 certificates
were issued for shipments to Saudi Arabia, followed by the UAE with 3,095, 915
for Iraq, 658 for Egypt, and 115 for India.
The majority of exports during the January–August
period went to Iraq, which accounted for JD138 million, followed by Egypt with
JD84 million, Saudi Arabia with JD72 million, the UAE JD52 million, and India
JD28 million.
Re-exports of foreign products amounted to JD247 million,
while exports of industrial, agricultural and Arab products reached JD157
million, JD109 million, and JD48 million respectively, according to the ACC.
