AMMAN — The value of exports of the
Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) went down by 19 per cent during the first seven months of 2021,
compared with the same period of 2020, ACC figures showed on Saturday,
according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The value of certificates of origin issued by the ACC in the January-July
period of 2021 to export goods totaled JD393 million compared with JD487
million in the same period of 2020, according to ACC data.
The ACC issued 20,320 certificates of origin in the first seven months of 2021,
compared with 17,351 certificates in the corresponding period of last year,
marking a 17 percent increase, the chamber said.
The ACC noted that a total of 4,878 certificates were issued for shipments to
Saudi Arabia, followed by Kuwait (4,398), UAE (2, 937), Iraq (939) and Egypt
with 548 certificates.
The majority of exports during the January-July period went to Iraq, which
accounted for JD115 million, followed by Saudi Arabia with JD36 million, UAE, and
Egypt with JD31 million, respectively, and Kuwait with JD22 million, the ACC
figures revealed.
With regard to re-exports of foreign products, the chamber said they amounted
to about JD191 million, while agricultural, industrial, and Arab products’
exports reached JD83 million, JD70 million, and JD18 million respectively.
