Amended tax law aims to combat evasion

AMMAN – Minister of Finance Mohamad Al-Ississ said on Monday that the amended Sales Tax Law is aimed at combatting tax evasion, according to Ad-Dustour. Ississ said that the amended law does not stipulate an increase in sales tax, it only aims to fight tax evasion. He also said that an amendment was added with a view to speeding up tax refunds from six to two months.
