Amman Stock Exchange General Index Declines Over the Week

The general index of share prices listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) declined by 0.74%, ending the week’s trading at the level of 2,580 points.

The daily average trading volume on the ASE during the past week reached approximately 8.4 million dinars, compared to 5.3 million dinars the previous week—an increase of 60%. The total weekly trading volume amounted to about 42 million dinars, up from 5.3 million dinars the previous week.

The number of shares traded on the exchange during the week totaled 18.5 million shares, executed through 12,499 transactions.
