AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan on
Wednesday announced that it issued the third batch of Treasury bonds in US dollars
this year, Hala News reported.

According to CBJ data, the value of the new issuance
stands at $400 million; the purpose is to address this year’s budget deficit.
Treasury bills are a government debt instrument issued
for a period of three months to one year, so they are considered short-term
securities.
