AMMAN — The
National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) has borrowed JD75 million in Treasury bills from the local market,
according to Khaberni.

The
Central Bank of Jordan issued on Monday Treasury
bills worth JD75 million in favor of NEPCO to be paid on Jude 22, 2023.
Expert and economic analyst
Hashem Akel told Jordan
News that NEPCO has borrowed the sum for liquidity, to pay loans, and to avoid
being in default.
Treasury bills are a government debt tool that must be paid
in a period ranging from three months to a year.
