AMMAN — The
Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) said that the number of checks in circulation declined by 11 percent in July,
compared with June, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

CBJ data also showed that the value of checks receded by
6 percent last month, against June. But it added that July’s check value was 22
percent higher than the corresponding month in 2021.
The data also indicated that returned checks for unspecified
technical reasons fell by 7 percent last month, compared with the preceding
month.
