The association’s president, Daifallah Abu Aqoleh, told
Petra that the agreement was made during a meeting with the Jordan Customs
Department regarding the flow of goods.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the operations of
Yard 4 and the importance of establishing a national platform so as to
decentralize the area’s operations, in addition to creating a clearance unit in
the area affiliated with it to facilitate transactions and procedures.
Abu Aqoleh stressed that there will be another meeting to
follow up on the outcomes of the first meeting which was held in Aqaba,
indicating that Jordan Customs Director-General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah promised
to lift all the barriers which stand on the way of the clearance and transport
