Oil prices rose slightly today, Thursday, due to concerns about global supply shortages, following U.S. statements regarding the imposition of tariffs on Venezuelan oil buyers. According to Bloomberg, Brent crude futures rose by 7 cents, or 0.1%, to $73.86 per barrel.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increased by 10 cents, or 0.1%, to $69.75 per barrel.

It is worth noting that prices rose by about 1% on Wednesday, following government data showing a decline in U.S. crude and fuel inventories last week.
