Gold prices rose on Thursday, driven by growing concerns over potential counter tariffs from the U.S. According to Bloomberg, the price of gold in spot trading increased by 0.5%, reaching $3033.20 per ounce. U.S. gold futures also rose by 0.6%, reaching $3039.

As for other precious metals, silver declined by 0.1% in spot trading, reaching $33.68 per ounce. Platinum fell by 0.3%, settling at $971.6, while palladium dropped by 0.4%, reaching $964.01.
Traders are worried that the counter tariffs imposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, expected to take effect on April 2, may lead to higher inflation and slow down global economic growth.
