Meeting with Ahmed Fakhr El-Din, general manager of “Zbooni: MyCustomer”
platform, which provides digital solutions using interactive commerce for small
and medium-sized companies in the MENA region, Hanandeh highlighted this
e-service’s role in promoting e-commerce in the Kingdom.
According to a company statement on Wednesday, discussions tackled the
situation of Jordan’s digital infrastructure, and opportunities and challenges
facing the e-commerce sector.
Fakhr El-Din reviewed the progress of the Zbooni application in Jordan
since its entry into the local market, rapid growth in its local revenues, and
its role in developing various business sectors by facilitating direct access
to interactive trade.
He also stressed the importance of contacting the Ministry of Digital
Economy and Entrepreneurship, which is concerned with creating the appropriate
environment for companies to operate in the technology sector, attract local
and foreign capital to invest in Jordan, and provide job opportunities for
Jordanians.
Through interactive trading, he said, the platform laid new foundations in
e-commerce and gave its corporate clients the opportunity to increase their
sales, highlighting the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship’s role
in supporting entrepreneurs.
To date, he noted, the number of companies and stores that registered on
the platform and benefit from its services stands at 1,100, spread in Amman,
Irbid, Zarqa, and
Aqaba. Their activities cover education, training, food,
beverages, professional services, sports and fitness, e-commerce, and retail.
The Zbooni platform seeks to provide innovative solutions, which would
contribute to supporting companies to interact with their customers and make
more sales and revenues.
