Industry minister, Palestinian businesspeople discuss trade

AMMAN — The government is taking measures to facilitate the flow of goods between Jordan and Palestine, which would increase the volume of trade exchange, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Youssef Shamali said Saturday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The minister’s remarks came during his meeting with President of the Palestinian Businessmen Forum Amer Osaili, head of the Jordanian-Palestinian Business Forum Nazmi Atmeh, and their accompanying delegation.

In a press statement, the minister stressed the importance of establishing joint economic activities and committees at all levels, due to their “remarkable” role in strengthening and developing economic and commercial cooperation ties.
This projected effort follows on from distinguished historic relations between both countries and the vast opportunities for finding complementary economic activities and joint investments between Jordan and Palestine, the minister pointed out.

The delegation, for their part, said they valued the facilitations provided by the Kingdom to support the Palestinian economy.

During the meeting, a number of proposals were presented aimed at increasing joint trade exchange, which would be followed up on in coordination with the competent authorities.
