AMMAN — The value of Irbid’s exports to foreign markets during last October recorded an increase of 29.2 percent compared to same month 2020, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The total value of goods originating from Irbid for October totaled $81 million, compared to $62.7 million the same month last year, the
Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) said in a press statement.
Al-Hassan Industrial Estate’s and Cyber City’s exports ranked first and second, valued at $76 million and $3 million respectively.
The textile and leather exports were valued highest, at $72.6 million, followed by foodstuffs at $2.6 million and medical supplies at $1.5 million, according to the chamber’s statement.
ICI Chairman Hani Abu Hassan said the US market represented the largest destination for goods from the governorate, comprising 75 percent of total exports.
