— The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (
JPMC) recently announced it had
set a new record raw phosphate exports during last June.

In a statement released on Sunday, the JPMC
said it had exported 554,762 tonnes of raw phosphate during June, which was the
largest since the establishment of a special port to export phosphate in Aqaba.
In addition, the company noted that the
Indo-Jordan Chemicals Company Limited (
IJC), wholly owned by JPMC, produced
27,107 tonnes of phosphoric acid (P2O5) in June, which is the highest monthly
production since the company's establishment in 1997, according to the Jordan
News Agency, Petra.
