Jordan imported 306,000 mobile phones worth 38.6 million dinars during the first quarter of this year, according to Ahmad Alloush, head of the Vision Association for Investors in Mobile Devices and Accessories.اضافة اعلان

Alloush noted that imports in Q1 of this year were similar in value to those of Q1 2024, which totaled 38.4 million dinars, but the number of devices then reached 450,000 units.

He explained that global mobile phone prices saw a notable increase during the first quarter of this year. The average phone price in the United States was about $830, while in South Korea it reached approximately $900, and in China, the average stood at $560.

The variation in average prices between these markets, Alloush added, is due to differences in demand for device categories. High-end phones dominate sales in the Korean and American markets, whereas budget and mid-range devices are more prevalent in China.
