Qadri confirmed that Jordan's exports of garments to the United States exceeded 1.5 billion Jordanian dinars last year.
He pointed out that China, Bangladesh, and Colombia are among the most competitive countries to Jordan in garment exports to the U.S. and have been subjected to higher tariffs than those imposed on Jordanian exports.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing "reciprocal tariffs" on countries "around the world," fulfilling a promise he made during his election campaign to begin a "golden age" for the United States, though these tariffs could lead to a global economic collapse. (Al-Mamlaka)
