It added that Jordan will continue to receive
support from the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Gulf states, which
will help limit the risks of economic shocks.
Recently the IMF’s executive board approved the
disbursement of $335.2 million to Jordan with the completion of the third audit
of a four-year program, with a total amount of $1.5 billion which makes 3.3
percent of the GDP.
The IMF loan comes on top of ongoing support from the
US and
Gulf states, including a $50 million Saudi grant in April 2022; the fourth
installment of a $2.5 billion package agreed with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the
UAE in 2018.
