AMMAN —
Jordan ranked 61st globally, and ninth in the
Arab world, in the average
monthly salaries received by employees residing in the Kingdom. According to
the US magazine “CEO World”, which did the ranking, the average monthly income
of employees in Jordan amounts to $599.53, which is approximately JD425.07.

The magazine
indicated that Jordan ranked ninth in the Arab world in terms of the average
monthly income. The UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon,
and Palestine outperformed Jordan, while Iraq ranked 10th in the Arab world.
In this context,
the UAE topped the
Middle East and North Africa in the average monthly salaries
received by employees, as it ranked fifth globally and first in the Arab world.
According to the list, the average monthly salary in the UAE is $3,663.27.
Switzerland
topped the list, with an average net monthly salary of $6142.1, followed by
Singapore at $4,350.79, Australia at $4,218.89, and the US came fourth with an
average net monthly salary of $3,663.27.
Norway came in
sixth place with an average net monthly salary of $3,457.69. Canada ranked
seventh, at $3,338.62.
Denmark ranked eighth,
with an average net monthly salary of $3,294.72. Iceland and the Netherlands
ranked ninth and tenth, respectively.
