AMMAN — Jordan received 3.79 million tourists in 2021
compared to 1.93 visitors in 2020, recording a 96.3 percent increase according
to data released by the
Department of Statistics, cited by Al-Mamlaka TV.

The data stated that the Jordan received an average of about
11 visitors per day during 2021.
Arrivals by air made up 57.7 percent of the total number of
visitors to the Kingdom, amounting to 2.2 million, mostly through the
Queen Alia International Airport.
Visitors who arrived by land amounted to approximately 1.4
million, 36.7 percent of the total, while approximately 212,000 visitors
arrived by sea, constituting the lowest percentage.
Visitors from
Arab countries made up the largest number of
visitors at 3.6 million, followed by visitors from European countries at 187,900,
then Asian countries ranking third with 164,200.
Departures in 2021 reached nearly 3.8 million, an increase
of 81 percent compared to 2020.
