AMMAN — Jordan’s trade balance surplus with the US stood at JD298 million in the first half of this year, according to official figures released Wednesday by the Department of Statistics, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The value of
Jordanian exports to US markets in the first half of 2022 reached JD825
million, up 22 percent from the JD676 million recorded in the same period of
2021, according to DoS data.
The Kingdom’s imports from
the US in the same period amounted to JD527 million, against JD472 million in
the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 11.9 percent.
