AMMAN — Jordan recorded a JD422 million trade balance surplus with the
US during the third quarter of this year, according to a report by the Department
of Statistics released on Monday.

Jordan News Agency, Petra, shared that according to the monthly report by the Department
of Statistics, the value of national exports to the US from the third quarter
of the year increased by 22.9 percent, reaching JD1.145 billion, compared with
the same period of last year, which amounted to JD932 million.
The Kingdom's imports from the US also increased by 2.7 percent towards the end
of the third quarter, reaching about JD723 million, compared with JD704 million
during the same period of last year.
The trade balance represents the difference between the value of imports and
exports and is an important economic indicator, and is used as a parameter to
assess economic growth.
