AMMAN — The S&P Global Rating, containing the latest
classification of sovereign credit risk for April 2022, showed that credit
ratings for Morocco and Jordan were average, while Lebanon was classified as
“struggling”, according to Al-Ghad News.

Jordan’s credit
score (B+) indicates a “noticeably variable” rating. The Kingdom received a
high-risk rating in the ratio of public debt to GDP, the ratio of public debt
to public revenue, and the ratio of public debt to total exports.
Jordan has
successfully issued $650 million worth of euro-bonds, or external bonds, in the
global financial markets on July 8, 2022.
Central Bank of Jordan Governor Adel Al-Sharkas said
there was high demand for such issuance, which reflects global investors’
confidence in Jordan’s fiscal and monetary policies.
Germany rated the best (AAA) among S&P Global Rating.
