AMMAN — A
Central Bank of Jordan report showed that local banks loans in 2021grew by 4.9 percent, or JD1.3
billion, over those in 2020, according to Al-Ghad News.

The total
value of loans granted at the end of 2021 stood at JD30.02 billion, the highest
level ever, while it stood at JD28.6 billion at the end of 2020.
At the end
of 2021, the value of overdraft stood at JD2.69 billion, a slight decrease of
0.3 percent compared to the JD2.71 billion in 2020.
The total
value of the incentives granted last year stood at 8.9 percent, while the value
of loans and advance payments reached JD18.85 billion, a 2 percent increase
over the JD18.46 billion at the end of 2020.
The value of
credit facilities at the end of last year was JD220.7 million, a 13.4 percent
increase over the JD184.8 million at the end of 2020.
