Oil Prices Rise Amid New Concerns

Oil prices increased in trading today, Tuesday, for the second consecutive day amid growing concerns about supply shortages due to new U.S. sanctions on Iran.اضافة اعلان

By 09:25 Moscow time, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose by 0.58% to $71.11 per barrel, while global Brent crude futures climbed by 0.48% to $75.14 per barrel.

In yesterday’s trading, U.S. crude contracts settled at $70.70 per barrel, while Brent contracts closed with a 0.45% increase at $74.78 per barrel.

Earlier, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced new sanctions targeting several individuals, entities, and vessels linked to Iran.

The U.S. Treasury had previously imposed sanctions on an international network it said "facilitates the shipment of millions of barrels of Iranian crude oil worth hundreds of millions of dollars to China."
