The airport recorded 5,741 aircraft movements in March, also reflecting a 4.8 percent rise year-on-year. In contrast, air cargo operations handled 6,187 tons, registering a 2.7 percent decline compared to March 2024.
From January to March, QAIA received 2,137,322 passengers, the highest first-quarter figure in its history, representing an 8.5 percent increase over the same period last year. Aircraft movements during the first quarter rose by 5.3 percent to 17,526 movements, while air cargo volume dropped by 16.5 percent to 16,156 tons.
Commenting on the results, Airport International Group CEO Nicolas Devillier stated that the sustained growth in passenger numbers reflects the resilience of QAIA's operations and the confidence of airline partners. He attributed the positive trend to the restoration of major regional and European air routes, which has reinforced QAIA’s role as Jordan's primary air gateway and a leading hub for travel, tourism, and trade in the Levant.
