Rawashdeh asks that new interest rates not be applied retroactively

AMMAN — Chairman of the Lower House Tourism, Antiquities, and Public Services Committee, MP Majid Rawashdeh, urged the Central Bank to interfere in order for banks not to raise interest rates on personal loans retroactively, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Rawashdeh said that there is no legal basis for raising the interest on personal loans, stressing that the decisions taken by the Central Bank should apply to new borrowers only, adding that raising the interest rate on loans will impose an additional burden on citizens.
