The daily average trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange was approximately 6.1 million dinars, compared to 5.0 million dinars the previous week, representing a 21.7% increase. The total trading volume for the past week reached approximately 30.5 million dinars, compared to 25.0 million dinars the previous week.
The number of shares traded during the past week amounted to 18.0 million shares, executed through 10,135 contracts.
In terms of sector contributions to trading volume, the services sector ranked first with a trading volume of 13.69 million dinars, accounting for 44.94% of the total trading volume. The financial sector ranked second with a volume of 13.65 million dinars, making up 44.82%, and the industrial sector ranked third with a volume of 3.12 million dinars, accounting for 10.24%.
On the sectoral front, the services sector index dropped by 0.11%, the financial sector index remained stable, and the industrial sector index decreased by 1.36%.
When comparing the closing prices of the stocks of the 123 companies traded last week with their previous closing prices, it was found that 42 companies experienced an increase in their stock prices, while the stock prices of 55 companies declined.
