AMMAN — Local revenues increased by 34.1 percent in the
first third of 2021, compared to the same period last year, Finance Ministry
data showed on Monday.

The increase amounted to JD652.2 million, according to the
data.
The improvement is attributed by the Finance Ministry to a
rise in
tax revenues, amounting to JD423.1 million, as well as a rise in
non-tax revenues, standing at JD229.1 million.
The rise in tax revenues constituted an increase of 27.3
percent, compared to the same period last year, and by 23.3 percent compared to
the same period in 2019.
Tax revenues in the first third of this year amounted to
JD1.973 billion, according the Finance Ministry.
