AMMAN— The Kingdom's trade deficit currently stands
at JD3.79 billion, having increased by 24.6 percent compared to the same period
last year, the Department of Statistics said in a report on Wednesday,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In the department’s monthly report on foreign trade, the
department notes that exports increased by 19.6 percent compared to last year,
standing at JD3.018 billion.
National exports increased by 23.1 percent to JD2.723
billion in the first six months of the year, the report showed.
According to the report, the value of re-exports stood at
JD295.2 million in the first half of 2021, marking a drop of 5.4 percent
compared to 2020.
Jordan's imports rose in the first half of 2021 by 22.3
percent, reaching a value of JD6.815 billion, compared to JD5.571 billion in
the same period last year, the department’s report noted.
