AMMAN — The
World Bank has transferred $107 million as the second batch of payments for a program that speeds up Jordan's economic recovery and job creation, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

With the new payment, which was transferred at the end of April, the total payments rose to $230 million after transferring $123 million in August 2021, to the project, with a total value of about $1.2 billion, which the Bank is committed to Fund by $500 million.
On June 10, 2021, the Bank approved the program to stimulate public and private investment in Jordan to achieve a green and comprehensive recovery from
COVID-19 pandemic.
The
Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank also agreed to provide additional financing of $250 million to support this program and help Jordan address poverty.
