Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh said that the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin
Hamad Al Thani provided 9,100 jobs for Jordanians in the Qatari labor market,
stressing that this grant was reactivated at the beginning of this year to
provide 20,000 job opportunities for Jordanians in two phases, each stage with
10,000 opportunities, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Steitieh said
that 2,400 Jordanians got jobs in the Qatari labor market, as part of the grant
allocated in the current year, stressing that this step opens new horizons for
Jordanians to work in the Qatari market, which is characterized by job
security.
Steitieh
expressed appreciation for Qatar’s efforts, which attracted Jordanian talents
from various fields, including nursing, vehicle maintenance, and services,
noting that work is under way in Jordan to study and analyze the required
skills and future needs of Qatar, to qualify Jordanians to enable them to enter
the Qatari labor market.
Steitieh noted
that the platform dedicated to attracting Jordanians to Qatar is an important,
and appreciated, initiative by the Qatari emir, and reflects the deep brotherly
relations between the two countries.
He also expressed hope
that similar agreements, even on wider scale, will continue to be reached,
stressing that the Qatari market is very important to Jordan.
