The combined capital
of all the newly registered companies was JD320 million, marking a 70 percent
increase from the JD189 million registered in 2019.
Armouti said that
the number of companies that have been deregistered or liquidated is still
lower than the annual average.
According to him,
the majority of registered companies are limited liability companies — 3,516,
with capital exceeding JD143 million — while 56 are private joint-stock
companies with capitalization exceeding JD126 million.
Import and export,
building and owning of commercial or residential properties, transportation,
food production or selling, and IT were the primary focuses of the new
businesses.
According to Armouti, the average time to register a limited
partnership is less than a day, and the time to register any other type of
company that requires a bank deposit is less than two days.
