The report, which detailed the contributions from donors compared to their pledges from May to July of the previous year, highlighted that donor countries provided Jordan with a loan worth 1.4 billion euros (1.5 billion dollars) for the current year and beyond, surpassing the pledged loan of 1.1 billion euros (1.2 billion dollars) at the conference.

By July of the previous year, Jordan had received 492 million euros (533 million dollars) in grant contributions, exceeding the pledged amount of 337 million euros (366 million dollars) for that year.

The report defines "contributions" as "documented support amounts, including commitments, contracts, and disbursements." The report also summarizes contributions in response to the crisis in Syria and the countries hosting refugees, including Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, and Egypt.

The report confirmed that donors had pledged to provide 338 million euros in grants to Jordan, consisting of a commitment of 337 million euros for the previous year and a pledge of 665,000 euros for the current year and beyond.

These pledges were part of a total of 1.2 billion euros in contributions by July, including 492 million euros in grants for the previous year and 707 million euros for the current year and beyond.

In total, 22 donors contributed grants for the previous year to Jordan, with the three largest contributors combining for 74% (364 million euros) of the total grant contributions. These donors were: Germany (36%, or 177 million euros), the United States (27%, or 131 million euros), and the Netherlands (11%, or 56 million euros). Germany also contributed all grants for the current year and beyond to Jordan, amounting to 707 million euros.

Additionally, the 8th Brussels Conference pledged a loan worth 1.1 billion euros, and by July, loan contributions to Jordan amounted to 1.4 billion euros, fulfilling 129% of the pledged loan, representing 68% of the total loan contributions for Syria and the region for the current year and beyond.

The European Investment Bank contributed 66% (926 million euros) of the total loan contributions to Jordan by July, followed by France with 344 million euros.

The 8th Brussels Conference, held under the title "Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region" and hosted by the European Union, saw the donor community pledge a total of 7.5 billion euros, including 5 billion euros in grants and 2.5 billion euros in loans for 2024 and the subsequent years for Syria and countries hosting Syrian refugees.
