According to a report the chamber
released on Monday, the growth was driven by higher exports from most of the
industrial sectors, except for the therapeutic, medical, and dermatology
supplies and textile sectors, whose exports declined by 11 percent and 16
percent, respectively.
The chamber indicated that nearly half of the exports (worth JD612 million) reached the markets of India (JD252
million), followed by the United States (JD147 million), Iraq (JD108 million), and
Saudi Arabia (JD105 million).
Exports from the mining industries
sector in the first two months of 2022 amounted to JD403 million, chemical
and cosmetic industries exports reached about JD193 million, while engineering, electrical and information technology industries sector exports
