AMMAN — A delegation from the Arab Women Investors Union, headed by Huda Yassa, the union’s president and president of the Association of Business Women for Development, is in Jordan to take part in the Arab-African-Jordanian Investment Forum under the title “Tourism is Development’s Locomotive“, which convenes on Tuesday under the auspices of the Jordanian ministries of investment and tourism.اضافة اعلان

“The forum falls within the framework of a tripartite alliance between the leaders of Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq, aimed at launching a new phase of constructive cooperation and an extended strategic partnership to strengthen joint Arab action, especially in light of the common challenges that confront the three countries,” Yassa said, noting an upcoming launch of an Egyptian investment project in Jordan’s duty free zone.

Yassa said the forum convenes amid the three countries’ desire to achieve economic integration, especially that the economy leads the pathway for sustainable development, according to Ad-Dustour daily.

She noted that Jordan was selected as part of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's intent to support joint economic cooperation, a topic that was on the agenda of his meeting with King Abdullah during a recent visit to Egypt.

The forum aims to inform business participants about investment opportunities and benefits offered by Egypt and the potential partnerships with participating entrepreneurs and investors.

The two-day forum includes business-to-business discussions and workshops on trade as well as the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises in empowering women economically.

Day two will take the delegations on visits to Jordan’s key tourist and archaeological sites.
