AMMAN — The
Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measurement of inflation,
increased by 1.25 percent in the first eleven months of 2021 to reach 102.36,
compared to a CPI of 101.10 for the same period in 2020, according to the
Department of Statistics (DoS), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In its monthly report on Sunday, the DoS indicated that the CPI for November of
this year increased by 1.61 percent, reaching 103.06 against 101.42 recorded in
November of 2020.
On a monthly level, the general index of consumer prices went up by 0.13
percent in November, amounting to 103.06, compared with 102.92 in October.
According to the DoS data, the basic index of consumer prices for November of
2021 reached 69.30, compared with 68.56 during the month same of last year,
registering an increase of 1.07 percent.
On the cumulative level, the basic consumer price index for the
January-November period of the current year amounted to 69.03 against 68.41 for
the same period of 2020, signaling a 0.91 percent rise.
