Cabinet approves mining in Maan

AMMAN — The Cabinet agreed to allow the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company to mine phosphate ore in the Maan governorate, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

The Council of Ministers’ approval Sunday was based on a recommendation by the board of commissioners at the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission.

The decision requires that mining rights be subject to any future amendments or decisions of the prime ministry.

The move aims to ensure proper implementation and the rehabilitation of mining areas, to guarantee a fair and concise return to the state treasury, and enable stakeholders to benefit exclusively from the right to mine.
