AMMAN — The
Central Bank of Jordan has officially announced
the commencement of trading the fifth edition of the ten-dinar banknote,
adorned with the image of His Majesty the late
King Talal bin Abdullah.
Starting on Wednesday, the new banknote will be in circulation alongside the
fourth edition of the ten-dinar banknote.

In a statement on Wednesday, CBJ stated that the release of
the fifth edition for trading is in accordance with the
Jordanian Currency Issuance Law No. (55) of the year 2022, which was published in the Official
Gazette on October 2, 2022. Furthermore, the
Central Bank confirmed that the
release of the five-dinar banknote will follow at a later date, to be announced
separately, Hala News reported.
With regard to the fifth edition, the
Central Bank assured the public that it will boast the latest security features utilized in currency
manufacturing, as well as improved quality, ensuring its longevity in
circulation.
