AMMAN — The National Society for
Consumer Protection (NSCP) called on the government to reduce kerosene and
diesel prices by 15 to 20 percent due to the
difficult economic conditions
currently affecting most of the Kingdom’s citizens, Ammon News reported.

NSCP Head Muhammad Obeidat said in a press
statement on Monday that the government “must reduce
fuel prices by tangible
percentages” so that citizens of all income groups can afford what is
considered an “indispensable item” especially for the poor, as temperatures drop and
difficult economic conditions persist.
