AMMAN — The
Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) will launch three programs to support various economic
projects following the eid holiday, according to Ad-Dustour daily.

In a statement issued by the corporation, on
Wednesday, the applications will be submitted electronically and will last
throughout the year. The new programs include support for the establishment of
new small and emerging projects, especially for young people in the
governorates, in a way that matches the comparative advantage of each
governorate.
JEDCO, with government funding, will make financial
and technical contributions in the form of small grants for projects and ideas
for individuals or start-up companies with economic feasibility. The projects
must be able to provide elements of sustainability and employment to become an
added value to the national economy.

Jordanians will be encouraged towards starting
their own projects to improve their quality of life and provide income for
Jordanian families.
JEDCO will also announce electronically a program to
support the marketing of products of Jordanian companies in various sectors for
a period of one year from the date of signing the agreement. The project aims
at providing technical and financial support for 20 companies with promising
marketing and export opportunities to keep pace with international marketing
methods and enhance the competition of national products locally and
internationally.
In the field of supporting Jordanian exports, the
JEDCO has allocated nearly JD500 million with government funding also for the
purposes of supporting the cost of shipping for Jordanian exports of various
industrial and agricultural types to international markets to preserve the
share of Jordanian exports in various global markets.
